SRI vs CAI

If im planning on putting nitrous (75 or 100 shot) on my car, does it really matter which i go with, or will CAI be better still?

It shouldn't matter as long as the tune is done afterwards

PS: Nitrous is gay lol

Because, like Sam said, it's gay. Even if your name is Toretto

i guess it's "gay" because you'd prefer to have power on tap all the time..rather than refill it once the tanks run empty. plus power is more manageable when you hit a circuit or a twisty road. i've ridden in cars with n2o and to be honest, unless you've got drag strip times you want to achieve it's pretty unsatisfying.

but whatever floats your boat. if going fast for cheap and temporarily on a straight line gets you off then nitrous is it.

I've read many of your threads, and from what I understand is that one day you plan on going FI. All nitrous will do is break down and destroy your internals. I would never waste my time boosting a motor knowing that nitrous has been run through it. That's just asking for problems IMH. Just save up and buy a S/C instead and you'll have power on tap all the time. Don't cheap out, nitrous is gay!

Wink

for anyone who thinks it's "gay", ?? No one had this comment when I put up my thread, why all of a sudden it's gay. Then we have alot of people in the closet.
have gotten a ton of pm's asking about it.
having a stock g is more on the gay side, at least I can hang with some of these modded cars and hold my own.
once you feel how hard it pulls, you will see how it is the opposite of gay, no one who has been in my car thinks it is. Most people say holy ****.
wow you are some lazy *******.
so what is has to be filled up, so does your gas tank.
plus 90% of people on here are never going f/i or s/c.
I highly doubt he is gonna switch from spray to f/i.
if anything the g needs f/i or a s/c to not get raped by a srt neon.
you can have some headaches, well worth it to me as far as I am concerned.I rip one ******* in a 335 all the time. Now he is afraid to try.
don't hate it because it's cheaper than a tt or sc.
not everyone can afford tt or s/c.
most of the problems with spray come from incorrect insallation, or people that just abuse it. Yes it can be unstable, so is the economy.
and most of the time it is other factors.
plus do you really boost up on turns?

Wow, looks like it struck a nerve saying how (IMHO) Nos is a complete waste of money. Hey, if you like it, go for it. They need someone to buy the crappy products too right?

Take it easy Risky, I always appreciate a nicely tuned setup and good dyno numbers. But as you said, Nitrous is for boy racers, if all you want to do is "race 335s between trafific lights" then sure by all means. I've never been a fan of it though.

And besides, the OP came in this forum strong, his first thread was him wanting to rebuild his engine, then he started considering boost.. now he's looking into CAI's and Nitrous.. I mean come on lol

seems like a few people are throwing turbos on their cars. they can spray NO2 on the intercooler to cool down the intake charge even more. for those that want on tap power, just setup an rpm switch to help aid in getting those snails spooled up faster. a 15-30 shot can make a big difference.

Sure i did, but as i have said countless times now, i would rather not spend all my cash i have. Guess people dont understand that
Not to mention that this thread is super off topic now, how about we go back to what i originally asked.
