X coupe options?

so i know the g37x isnt the friendliest model for exhaust systems. ive heard there is an extra bend or something like that? anyways.. objectively speaking i want a better sound.. maybe lower but a louder. i dont want to wake my neighbors up nor shake my house every time i start the car, but i want an exhaust i can hear when my windows are up or im cruising on the highway.
i am completely new to exhausts, no idea what catback and all those terms mean, i dont want to buy something thats not going to fit without custom fabrications done to it either.
so what do you guys recommend? i know exhausts dont give much gains, something like 5 or so hp if lucky? im not looking for gains, im saving up for f/i for that. that being said i dont want to break the bank either, and my bank isnt very big at the moment. with an internship all summer for a hedge fund i havent had the time to find a job. all my money is coming from dj gigs whenever one comes up!
how much is it going to cost? i was looking to spend around $300 bucks, but if cheaper it would be nicer. am i low ballin' it by a long shot? i dont think i need a full exhaust change-over, just something that sounds a lot more aggressive. i love the sound my car makes (right now stock) in parking garages while i have my windows down and i want to hear that outside the garage.
links to anything good would be great! personal experiences with the g37x would be nice to read about too..
nice tips on the end would also be a plus!
thanks a lot guys

For $300 you could get a hacksaw at Home Depot and cut off your resonators. Other than that you won't be able to do much for that money. If you're serious about FI, you're going to need a complete catback (SEARCH), so best to save for that.

fi wont be for a while, probably at least another 5 years at least. how much do you think i would need for just a better sound?
@sportsdude512 - it IS illegal to tint the front windows. any tint percentage at all is illegal in the front. for the back windows any tint is acceptable.
