if you have an auto, its your shifter. dealer could not duplicate so i had to show them. they replaced the shifter & some other parts marked misc. trans.

ds mode is different from regular. it shifts a lot later and usually keeps your car in a lower gear so you will be at a higher rpm

I have this problem when the car is cold. I called the dealer and will be dropping it off Monday. The guy said the shifter may be going out. I will let everyone know when I get the car back.

I have 24,000. I talked to a service person today and said the shifter may be the problem or the park brake sensor may be messed up. I will post what the problem was when I figure it out on Monday or Tuesday.

Yea its the shifter, I have the same thing happening to me. I still havent got it fixed but need to soon its annoying.

But when your driving you can always just use the paddle shifters it still works that way at least for me, but as soon as the car slows down and gear goes to 1st it automatically switches to D mode.
