Hey Sam,

I just got my headers, gen 2 intakes, exhaust, and HFC's (all Stillen) delivered today. Thanks to Juan for giving me a deal on his lightly used goods as he's workin on a TT. Lucky B@stard!

They're supposed to be installed by the dealer on Monday-Tuesday next week, (and they're givin me a loaner for 2 days woot!) so I'll keep ya posted. I don't have access to a dyno, but I'll be happy to post some vids so you can at least hear 'em.

I was shocked the dealer agreed to install HFC's and Headers for me, but they did, and their labor rates are only $110/hour, which is actually cheaper than alot of custom shops around here ($120-135/hr). That, combined with warranty concerns, a free loaner is so convenient for me, it's a win/win.

To be continued, wish me luck guys PS - the Vossens have been ordered too!

Yup, $1100 to be exact. Quote from other local shops were $1300+. Ouch, but it's Fairfield county pricing. That's why we're moving next year.

Yeah I'm pretty much sold on the headers to be honest, I found someone local who can reflash my stock ECU which even tempted me more to the get headers on... A friend of mine stepped up and called guinea pig.. Waiting on him to report any issues lol naah there shouldn't be hopefully..

Now one more question.. is hot coating better than heat wrapping?

^^Solisimo that's why I posted. Im getting mine done for $190. Sam I asked the same question to turbo shop in MIA and they recommended Ceramic coat or Jet hot which I believed is a high quality ceramic coat over Wraps just because it will cover much more and sometimes wraps are difficult just because of the curvature of the pipes.

So can a paint shop do the jet coating for me here? If they can powdercoat wheels they should be able to coat headers right? or am I missing something here?
