G37 Y Pipe info

I've been searching through the forums and haven't found a lot on the Y pipe. Here is what I think I know based on what I have found:

Available Y Pipes:
1. Exhaust Depot
2. Ichiba
3. Motordyne XYZ-Pipe (a hybrid that costs about double)

Then I heard some rumor of a Tanabe Y pipe for G37 but have not been able to verify or locate it for sale. Since I just installed Tanabe Medallion (which I like but want more performance) I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with any/all of these with the Tanabe Medallion - ease of installation, loudness, Y pipe vs X pipe or H pipe (if even available). As far as I can determine the Y pipe is probably the easiest way to get more performance, next to a total cat-back system - opinions?

There is a Tanabe Y-Pipe available as well as a JIC Magic Y-pipe available. PM Lou@Amplified I know he carries them both...

Believe it or not, the stock y-pipe isn't all that bad. Of course the aftermarket y-pipes are a lot better, but from what I've noticed is that most of the power restriction is coming from the stock mid-pipe. Now as of right now, there are no available aftermarket mid-pipes yet, but there will be one in the very near future.

Hope i've helped in any way

I went with the motordyne engineering xyz pipe. the quality and workmanship are impressive, but it did cost some bucks. on the collector end, you can swap in a resonator, a straight pipe, or even a catalytic converter. I posted a couple pics at:
