custom exhaust??

now does this sound crazy or do you guys think it will work/maybe even sound a little more unique... soo right now I have the magnaflow cat-back and i lovee the system don't get me wrong but sometimes I wish the tips were a little bigger and maybe even dual mufflers instead of the one big one like the stock set up would be coool... so down to business I was thinking about maybe trying to get a hold of a fast intentions axle back or the tanabe axle and get one of them welded an custom fitted to my current setup.. the way I look at it, is that ill be basically be making a fast intentions exhaust or a tanabe exhaust with an X pipe an eventually get my hfcs... what do you guys think???

its deff gonna cost me some money but i only spent 500 on the cat-back I'm saying if I can get it all done for under 800 dollars it will be a total cost around 1300 at most hopfully.. so it will be like i bought a borla but with a unique sound and finally 4.5 inch tips which is basically my goal here id go completely custom on the tips but I don't wanna look cheap..

I think it's a very feasible idea. Most any full service exhaust shop can provide you with other options for mufflers and tips that would be far less expensive. I almost had one made for me that way but got turned off when the guy couldn't mandrel bend the piping and tried to convince me that there was no benefit to using mandrel bent piping. I think he was going to charge me $500 for the whole thing for a full cat back.

you'd be better off selling your current one and going for a ready made FI don't you think? most of the catback's price goes in the mufflers, throwing away your magnaflow mufflers would be a waste.. my 2 fils

yeah I agree with you I just think its gonna be to much of headache to get it off try and find a buyer I wonder around how much tony or fast intentions would sell an axle back for... and I could always sell the magnaflow axle back on ebay to make the money back for the custom fitting... the sound shouldn't sound too far off from the original because the mufflers are basically making the noise nooo??

yeah most of the noise.. some comes from your resonators and piping
although I don't think magnaflow mufflers would fit on a stock setup.. meaning e-bay buyer would have to custom fit too.. not every's willing to do that when he can get it shipped for $500 right? again my other 2 fils
