Well I didn't want to email you until I was a 100% positive of the intake causing the trouble. I'm having my friend's intakes installed on my G and we'll see how that goes.
Cheers,
Uhh...you didn't want to email him until you were sure, but you went ahead and posted the topic "Stillen 3G intake => Engine overheat!!".

I would have done things in the opposite order...

Stillen 3G intake FTW!!

Anyways people.. here's an interesting update:
I think my friends car was jinxed or some black magic has been laid on it.. We decided to get those intakes installed on some other G which was in a better mechanical shape
Took the car to an isolated road which runs for around 10kms and hit the pedal to the metal! here's what the temp gauge looked like after that (excuse the quality, camera phone was used)

Next Test: Car wash

BTW: That G also has FI CF exhaust, and on 1st gear.. the slip light doesnt go off!
I'm getting those babies ordered where you at Josh?

P.S. I have nothing but love for stillen products no hate what so ever.. WAS JUST SHARING AN EXPERIENCE NOT MORE (isnt this why this forum was started anyways?)

I would guess that something on the radiator got damaged when you installed the intakes.

I'm thinking I should change the title of this thread to: "I thought Stillen 3G intake => engine overheat"

It's misleading now that we know it wsn't the intake at all, just like EVERYONE said
