Injen is a NAI, or no air intake,
Haha, yea I did miss that...

Well, if you do your research and find that you like one unit better than another, then go for it regardless of price. Maybe it's cheaper, maybe it's not. Again, I'm not dissing anybody's stuff.

I just get a bit **** about folks who cut corners or go one way or the other simply because of hearsay or vendor propaganda. They obviously haven't looked at the big picture or have no idea about what their end goal really is.

My goal is (and has been from the beginning) to have a matched set of quality parts.

I use Stillen parts because they make quality stuff and I've nothing but great service from them. Believe me, it's paid off in more ways than one and I'm happy with everything I've bought.

As for spending the money? Well, ya can't eat it and ya can't take it with you!

Seriously, trying to keep up with the Jones is foolish. If you want a mod and can't afford it now, save up for it. While you're saving something might come out that you like better and it might be cheaper.

Jacking up your credit cards, especially in this economy, is flat out stupid. Don't do it.

Personally, I have a stash of "mad money" that I contribute to when I can. I tend to mod in bursts. If there isn't enough cash in the stash, I wait until there is. I buy with my card but often send the payment in before the bill comes in. That way if something bad happens, I'm not left standing there with my pud in my hand.

I agree with you, some people spend money just because they have it in their pocket. Very foolish.

I look at it the same way, my point was just that some people see things differently, and it isn't because they're stupid, they just have different values.

I still think that people who run up their plastic for things like car mods in today's economy are stupid. JMHO.

I see your point but I'm a little more **** about it than you are. I've had to help friends that got stupid with plastic but told them it wouldn't happen again. They paid me back so it worked out ok but still...

If you're strapped for cash, the last thing you need is a car mod. Better to feed the kids and make your house payments than to try to squeeze a few ponies out of your car!

Point taken, but people have different values and different order of importance. They're not "stupid", people have different perspectives and also have different purchasing power too

Ok, ok! I give up. Technically, "stupid" people are those who can't be taught. I still say that people who value their cars more than their family have a problem.

Let's just say... forgive them for they know not what they do.

Oh, yes, the thread.

I like the gen 3 intake. It depleted my mad money so I'll have to start saving again. Oh, well...

It's better than being in the hole credit card wise.

I have to say -- Credit card debt is not a good place to be, even if this is more than a hobby for some on here. If you don't have the capitol to do what you want, start saving!

That said...

Where the hell are the Stock Dyno results... I've got some savings I'm ready to burn on my new baby.

For sure! +1

Other than the Tanabe lowering springs, I'm still bonestock. When I do mod it's going to be pretty much Stillen all the way... intake, exhaust, headers and and ECU flash with Tadashi and Cobb and wider rubber.....Only when I have "crazy cash" to spend perhaps after a long vacation in Brazil or Europe!!

Is your dyno going to be with the same specs and conditions that Stillen had set for Bboy to follow?
