SAME EXACT SCENARIO!!! THIS IS HOW IT GOES IN THIS BUSINESS.
Yep the best intake mod for the G35 was the Z-tube, and JWT. Everything else was inconsistent. all other intakes lost power at low RPM except for the Z-tube. JWT did produce across the board above 3K. There was a comparison done and dynos were posted for cars dynoes on the same day under the same condistions. If I knew where the link was I would post it.

^^That's exact why I went with JWt and no Injen, history is there to be repeated, and altough I didn't get a G35 I was reading the forums almost daily deciding to get one and I read about the issues with Injen and other CAIs and that people were GREATLY satisfied with the Z-tube and JWT.

So, this time I did get my G, but when deciding for an inatke first choice was JWT. I even placed an order more than a month before they were released, that's how confident I was, and now that I got 1 of the 2 I ordered and after have test driven it on my buddy's G, I can tell you, I'm happy I was right. Easy to install and power in low-end and mid range is there, I still can't tell you at high-end as it's not my car, but once I get mine tomorrow, I'm planning to install it tomorrow also so I can have it ready for Saturday tests.

Dont get me wrong I still believe in Injen as a company just not the CAI hype. I bought a Injen CAI for my 35 the first few months it came out, after a "test dyno" showed something like 8whp. It sounded great but I lost 2whp. Then I went with JWT with CF Z Tube and gained 4 and still sounded great.

Injen did make a good exhaust for the 35 that was very fairly priced.

^hahahah. With all the negativity going around, it's good to see people happy with their Injen.

Exactly what I was thinking. If there is no air there, then why would you have a gain of 4hp???

I think when people say no air they mean no fresh air because the area is closed off. Sure there's air down there, not a vacuum.

I've learned that people have more faith in the JWT's over the Injen even though there is no dyno sheets up of the pop chargers

I realize that.
If it were a vacuum I would be sucking up road kill as I drove over it.

Yeah, I noticed that, too. Aren't some people dynoing the JWTs soon? I forgot which members were supposed to be doing this.

I don't think there is going to be an intake that is leaps and bounds better then what has been out. Pick you poison. If these made 6-8hp for an intake, then that is not bad considering I got a set for only $450.
