What have we learned
Eh I would still prefer the pop charger due to ease of installation and you don't have to move anything, horn, washer fluid reservoir, ect.
i would be careful throwing pricing around on here, thats kinda touchy and private thing

wow...i just read thru 9 pages of this thread...
anyway, here's what i've learned...
1. our stock intakes are pretty good...not really worth spending a few hundred $ for 0-5 hp...i jumped on some cheap fujitas ($210) when everyone was saying they dont make power...but at least i got them for cheap
2. sit back and watch. Let other ppl who jumped on the mods give their review and dynos.
3. aftermarket companies are a bunch of liars....dare i say, "crooks"? I hate to be misled
4. if it sounds too good to be true, it prolly is...14whp from intake? i wouldn't expect anything more than 4-6whp

Bitchin, not the old school for cool.
This one issue has used more space and time than any I've seen since I've been a member. I bought the Stillen longtube because it was the only intake on the market that came close to not sucking hot air. No matter what the skeptics(especially pms) think all of the intakes suck hot air(except for the very good OEM system). Injen is the one that puts the filters farther away from the hot engine air, period. Remember, hot air rises so the higher the filters the hotter the incoming air. That is precisely why I'm installing a Injen. So much banter, why? Every intake company has posted high HP and torque gains. I plan on maximizing the Injen's full potential by opening it to more cold air then a ECU flash. Bottom line, if you haven't already bought a aftermarket intake and plan on going farther in the quest for power IMO the Injen has the most potential. If all you want is the sound buy the cheapest one. Everyone, (almost) with the Injen has experienced butt dyno power and this is from very knowable members. Well, the old guy has inserted his opinion take it for what it's worth.

installed mine a week agoand i feel more power both low and high
and sound after 4 to 5000 rmp beast comes out and make me go faster
so
I LOVE THIS INTAKE
For me!
I think the major issue with the Injen and dynoing it is the install time. PMS did a great job but the best way to do a dyno is the same day on the same dyno. Since the Injen takes a couple hours to install I think it will be hard for someone to dyno it and then install it and then dyno again in the same day unless they are going to have the shop install the intake. If someone who is buying the Injen and having a shop install it, it would be great if they went to a shop with a dyno and did before and after dynos on it. I don't care if you are stock or not. It would be nice to just see a same day dyno.
I don't remember the name of the guy who wouldn't post his dyno sheet on the Injen intake because of the crap people were giving him but I hear he lost power over his stock. Now I am not saying that he did lose power but there are a few factors that go into dynoing. He dynoed stock on a different day and then went back to dyno another day with the Injen which is probably a major reason it showed it lost power. Now I have no grips against the Injen intake and I do think it does make power but I seriously believe that the power potential of the JWT is much greater than the Injen especially with a ECU reflash. I will put a challenge out there to anyone that can prove me wrong when these ECU reflashes become available.

yup that true man. Thats why I'll wait for a couple weeks and try and Dyno my car with the Injens On! Since it is difficult to use the Stock Intakes then like you said, took me like 2hrs and 45min, to Install the Injens. and that's not including my Lunch break. LOL. So I am just going to go off what other Sedan guy's showed when they got thier car dynoed. which is like around 264-267 WHP. So we'll see if I get higher number than those guy's. to tell if they actuall made a diffrence or if it is really BS or just in my head, LOL.

Did you know deaf people can't do butt dynoes?
It's because butt dynoes are connected to your ears. You hear the Injen, you THINK it's going faster. The JWT produced consistent 10hp/5tq on 3rd party dynoes. The real dyno & butt dyno can probably feel that.

I agree! I Installed my Injen on my 07 Sedan. And the Butt Dyno says that after 3500-redline, the car pulls alot harder in the upper Rev Range! I had the Stillen Long tube Intakes on before. And it Never pulled as hard as the Injen up high! So that says the Injen's may work a little better with a stock G. I have nothing but Intakes on my G. So Makes you Wonder till someone does a Real Dyno session like BBoy! On a Sotck 35 or 37! And I feel the Injen gave me a little more Low end,..not a wholle lot, but across the entire rev band, escpecially up high! I an no noob, since I have a Built Stang. So I've been into modding for like 15yrs. So I can tell if something makes a diffrence. But this is just a Butt dyno, HAHA. We will never know till a real dyno session is done! And I may do mine soon. Depends on my $$$$. Injens

Of course you could always reset the ECU everytime you get in the car...
IMO... I want to know what a mod makes everytime I drive the car... so thats why I think When your testing modifications..... you install ... drive a lil ... reset the ECU... drive a few driving cycles...and then dyno... I could care less about what it makes right after one resets the ECU...
Thats just my opinion

. I wish I could here them though, but I just can't over the exhaust.
