As far as the dyno goes, you just want to worry about the increase in HP/TQ that it shows and not the final number such as 280HP. You are just looking for the increase in power that it shows on the same dyno before and after.
ya i had proportions in mind.. a 15hp increase on a baseline 261hp would be equivalent to a ~16.2hp increase on a dyno that baselines 279... i guess that doesnt make that big of a diff
i think all we are looking for here are some actual gains regardless... because right now all it is, is some polished pipes and smaller windshield washer fluid resevoir
exactly and the dyno that it is on does not matter as long as the final dyno is done after the injen install is on the same dyno.. hope it works out for you guys
But Bboy is there an effect where EACH hp is weighed differently on different dynos, for example:
1hp on the Mustang Dyno = 1.08 hp on the Dynojet
Do you get what I am saying? Because wouldnt that have to be the case if Dynojet consistently gets higher numbers? If that's the case than the yield could still be an overall higher number such as 10 WHP gain on Dynojet and 9 WHP on the Mustang Dyno.
I'm an amatuer at dyno charts and the process as a whole so correct me if I'm talkin' rubbish...
It does matter but it shouldn't be that big of a difference. I am no dyno expert either but what I look for is an increase in power.
Great it's only 8:35 in Cali all you SoCal'ers have plenty of time to stay up for this dyno but it's almost midnight here in the East...Might hafta wait for tomorrow!!!
maybe he's doing acouple runs
it's better for him to be as acurate as possible even though it may take a little longer
and also that way there won't be any excuses
