A Day at JWT

personally met jim wolf, founder of pop chargers, for test fitting of the intakes for the g37. A very nice guy, pretty much knows everything about nissan and infiniti because they've been in the business for almost 30 years ,, intakes look awesome and sounded great ,, but final production is not out yet,,here is a glimpse of what JWT is in store for us

If they kept what they did for the 350z, then should be some 7 WHP, if it's better than that it will be a huge bonus for me, if it's less, then at least I know I will have some HP gains and a great sound for around $350. I pre-ordered those already on Wednesday from Andy at Hpautoworks ($319 + S/H).

Just to add something to my previous post, below is some extracted info I found over NissanMods.com talking about a Dyno for an Altima 3.5 SE with a Pop-Charger, so it seems to be constant with 350z dynos:

"The peak hp gain was 8 hp (208.8 ) and 3 lb-ft of torque (230.3). These gains stayed fairly consistent past 4,000 RPMs with max hp gain of 10 at 6000 RPMs and max torque gain of 10 at 5500 RPMs. The JWT POP charger is a no brainier option for those interested in lightly modifying their car."

That's what Andy also told me, Next week or two, so let's see, I should have the first 2 he received.

I Know what you mean, but a company like JWT is a truthworthy company dedicated to Nissan Applications, Z and Altima are different cars than our G, but the Engine is very familiar with them, they have taken thier time in R&D also, just like Injen, and that just mean good news, Intake it's finished some time ago, and has been tested with "great results", they have taken their time just in teh design of the heat shield, so that it fits our car.

For me it's like people pre-ordering the Injen already without having all the components ready, the water bottle doesn't affect performance, in the Pop-Charger case, the heat shield used for tests before were for other car and it still worked great, having our own heat shield just should assure us that the product now is rock solid.
