Me?, A couple of reasons:

1-) I don't like the idea of removing the Front bumper to install the CAI (At least for the Injen, the only one that seems to really gain HP), that's just for install it, in my case that I need to clean them very often (here dust is like air) not user friendly at all.
2-) Where the filter gets located are too low for me, here we have very hard rain falling very often so hydrolock is a big concern for me.
3-) Really like what JWT have done with 350z and G35 with their previous pop-chargers.

I C, i guess it makes sense based on the weather where you live. Here in SoCal winters a joke.

I actually have an Injen Cold Air...the guy installed it without having to remove the bumper.

like Injen too. But let me ask you, why are u hesitant to go CAI?
Although rare, there have been cases of hydrolock when encountering water. Many say that you have to be in a large puddle to make that happen. However there have been some rare cases of people hydrolocking even through "normal" puddles of water.

if you really want to go CAI ,, man go for it! you dont want to install short rams then in the end ,, i should have gotten the injen instead,,,, i got a friend who has CAI and his car is still fine until now,, in the other hand ,, i also know someone who has the CAI and needed to replace his whole motor because of the hydrolock,,, both guys live here in california ,, which doesnt rain that much ,,,

in the end,,, its still your choice man! Go for what your heart is telling you

I drive my car in all types of weather from rain to snow. I really need to see a pic of the intake with the bumber off so I can see the placement and the chances of water getting in there.

This is the first car i am modding. and i know what hydro lock is but how did the old cuda's and sstuff with hood schoops not have problems with sucking in water in heavey rain?
