i must add that unless the Injen is guaranteeing 12+ hp gains it will be a waste. I had an Injen CAI on my acura tsx and it had nice gains of around 12-18hp for around $350 not to mention the great growl it gave off. I think the G is quite fine with the stock setup but my modding itch is starting to grow. i truly think , like most of you are saying, to unleash substantial gains its gonna require a complete setup...intake to exhaust. right now im just looking for some nice aesthetic mods.

Id be happy if it gains +8whp

will the pedal pump ECU reset be sufficient post intake install?

or do you guys plan on doing the complete data dump with the battery disconnect??

hmmm, i dont know, 8hp gain from the Injen might not sway me into just an intake swap.

im pretty sure a data dump and intake swap will trigger the check engine light and it will have to be reset by the dealer

Gents, if you're working on the car, pull the neg battery cable first.

That will reset the ECU. No need to visit the dealer.

If you screwed up and the CEL stays on, you have a problem. Then visit the dealer. Things like the LTP might take a few miles to reset.

Don't forget to do the window reset.

Terrible, any luck with that Cobra NO2 set up? JK.

yea when i picked my car it had multiple problems, probably cause it wasn't PDI'd right to begin with. But i had all kinds of issues with check engine lights, flat tire sensors, auto window controls, SRS sensors, etc..you name it, i had it. And i had some lengthy conversations with an A Tech and the service manager and there going on and on about how touchy and intricate the 37's computer system is and the process for the diagnostics. Anyway, any number of sensors can be triggered from any number of problems. And a intake swap along with a battery disconnect can trigger multiple sensors. Apparently this is "new" to the infiniti's and has caused some problems already. And unlike previous models, NONE of the sensors or alarms can be turned off besides the obvious low gas alarm.

On the 2k2/2k3 maximas, disconnecting the battery would NOT reset the ECU. You had to do the ECU Reset to get things reset... Its not hard plus you dont loose radio presets and memory stuff.

I dont think anyone has had any problems with sensors so far on an intake install...
