Yeah there's an on/off switch and I keep it off. It powers on by itself when you start the car and then powers down but stays in parking mode but my knew what but have clicked it on without realizing it and about 10hrs layer after I finished work my battery was dead. Nothing that jumper cables couldn't fix but after a long shift at work that was the last thing I was expecting.

After installing my sport seats yesterday idk what happened but something must've come loose in the fuse box bc my cameras shut down and my cigarette lighter socket is out. I'll have to double check and then give opinions.
I've seen night view on a regular non tinted car and it looks real nice but I'm curious to see how it'll look on a tinted car (20%all around) especially the rear windshield.

Why not get a Celllink B battery? I realized I had the tendency to drain my battery when I hardwire anything (due to being forgetful?).
I have had this Blackvue 650GW-2CH Dash Cam for over a year now and used the cellink B battery and it works great. Its pricey, but it beats draining your battery and getting stranded. BTW kenny, Nice car build and really enjoying your progress!

I have the Blackvue 650. My voltage setting is set at 11.8 or so. So it shuts off automatically once the batter reaches that voltage. You can turn parking mode on or off. I leave it on when I'm parked outside and turn if off when it's in the garage.
Here are some night-time shots. I just upgraded the firmware which is suppose to bump up the bitrate to 10Mpbs from 8. So qualitly should be better.
Front (no tint)
Rear (20% tint)
Notice some distortion caused by the defrost lines.

Looks good. I have been dealing with cameras for awhile.
I started with a camera I actually paid for $600

Quality was horrible, but back then there were not many options available.
Then I got this one

Very impressed with the video quality and reliability. But I got this one like 4 years ago and now there are better versions. ( I used them on my Infiniti i35).
I also have dash cams on my motorcycle.
Currently I have Mobius (I think someone mentioned it here or in another topic)

and front and rear cameras

I think on my Infiniti G37, I'll go with Blackvue on front and back. May extra Mobius too, but not sure at this time. I'll definitely do review and write up when I'll be doing this.
