My G37s purchase, not bad for first MT.
My G37s purchase, not bad for first MT.
I am not exactly a newb, but haven't actually posted in here about my deal and pics so here I am.
I bought the car in mid February and dear god it started to snow in Chicago area something feerse as I pulled off the lot. On top of that this was my first manual trans car. I just learned how to drive that mourning and within the first 30 minutes of owning the thing I had to contest with Icy/Snowy weather, stop and go traffic on the interstate, rear end that likes to slide around, and being completely new to Manual Transmission. I got home ok, but man i was shaken up. Probably the worst driving experience I have ever had, but I don't regret it. It's not the cars fault, the G is phenomenal.
Now that I have had it for a month and a half I'm loving the thing even more. I got some pictures that I attached below.
G37 Sport 6MT
Platinum Graphite/Graphite leather
Nav Package
Premium Package
kick plates
Splash Guards
Trunk Mat and Net
MSRP - $42,345
Sold with all fees and taxes - $39,433
I traded in my 04 monte carlo ss and put down $5K. Total of $15,100 Down. I qualified for the 63 month/2.9% financing. My payments came right where I expected at $454.xx.

Mustang GT is automatic
and as of right now all stock. Same for the G, all stock but manual.
I notice that the mustang has a lot umph off the line, but it seems to make more noise when over 70mph then actual performance. The g feels like first doesn't get you anywhere and that you have to shift up within a second of starting to move as minivans will pass you. I'm not launching, but reving to about 1k and letting off the clutch. As soon as it catches I give it gas up to about 2200rpm before shifting to second. I'll take second up to 3500-4k and then when I get into 3 and 4 thats where if feels like this thing is flying.
I love both cars equally but differently. The mustang just feels cool, big, and nastie. The G has a feel of refinement and speed to it, a real slick ride and feel. It would be a hard choice between the two if I had to make it.
