I originally ordered a G in late September, due in December. When I found out that had been pushed back to January and my local dealer/salesperson did not sound like he'd give me much off MSRP just cause other dealers were, I decided it was time to explore other options. Maybe if I would allow one other color choice or go without the tech package, I could buy one that already exists.
I really wanted to take advantage of the 2.9% for 36 months financing too.
With just a few emails and a couple of phone calls, the exact car I had on order was found! I was offered 400$ over invoice with no haggling at all. The car was traded from a dealership in So Cal, and delivered directly to my house, my 1st choice, as I got it faster but more importantly, no more dealership car wash people could possibly mess it up.
I bought the car from Modesto Infinity a 90 minute drive for me , my sales person was Brian Montoya 209-402-3317

I've had her for 26 hours now and I drove her just once last night for about ten miles after I got her cleaned up and debadged (Infinity logo left on), set up my homelink, swapped out the dealership plate frame for a carbon fiber one and plugged in my new Ipod that I purchased two months ago just for the G.
I probably won't drive her much before Tuesday the 27th when I'm going to drive approximately 3 hours one way to the bay area (Fremont CA) for full tint and clear bra at Premier Mobile Group. I have high expectations and I believe Premier will deliver...
It looks like I have plenty of reading to do in the meantime, I want to get everything figured out.

Congrats on the car. You will enjoy. I had mine three weeks and I'm at 633 miles. Trying hard to reach 1200 by Christmas as this is not my daily driver. I can't wait to break her in and drive her hard

 

I was going to get clear bra installed for my car @ Premier too but it already came with the car (and I got a deal for it) directly from the dealer.

Thanks everybody for the kind words. I'm really excited to finally have her. I really dig the Ipod interface, especially now that I found the scan repeat button on the dash that toggles between all the different repeat and shuffle modes on the fly. I have thousands of songs on the Ipod and I'm still ripping 'em. I unchecked all the songs on my cd's that I don't like before ripping the tracks for the Ipod and I like to put the whole list on shuffle because I usually don't know what I want to hear, then I can easily undo shuffle at any time and play more songs from a particular cd if I so desire and then back to shuffle just as easy, sweet!
I'm looking forward to my little road trip on Tuesday, I'll be visiting some friends in San Jose that I moved away from 3 years ago.

Congrats man. That's the other color I was considering. The only reason I didn't get it is because I wanted AG with the graphite interior, which the dealership claimed was not available in SoCal or Arizona. I didn't want to wait for 2 months and lose the 2.9 APR, so I got OB instead, which im definitely not complaining about.
