Clutch pedal area spring

I have a 2008 G37. Left work and got in my car, pushed the clutch in, and a spring and hat bushing looking piece popped out. I have no idea where it came from. The clutch felt normal and I drove home fine. Can someone post a Pic of their pedal area?

'08 coupe, right? I can't think of where that spring would have come from but I don't think it was your clutch pedal.
Here's an illustration from the FSM - no springs.

That sure does look like the clutch pedal spring.

Replacing that spring was a pretty common mod about 10 years ago or so.

I did find out it's the clutch pedal assist spring thanks to your post. The clutch feels the same to me so I wonder if it was already just hanging on this whole time 🤷🏻‍♀️. The clutch fully disengages and I'm seeing posts that say I don't have to replace them and posts that say I need to. I'll just go ahead and do it probably. Thanks!
