So I’ve googled and searched the forums but my searches haven’t turned anything up - can someone tell me what this weird button thing is beneath the trunk release? The plate in the middle pushes inwards and seems to be spring loaded but for the life of me I can’t imagine what function this thing serves 🤷🏼‍♂️ It takes very little pressure to push it in so calling it a button is a stretch…

 

Your keyfob fits in there. It’s used to start the car when the battery in the keyfob is dead.
