Help Trunk Chrome Button Don't Work

Exclamation Trunk Chrome Button Don't Work
Hi,

Recently the trunk button on the trunk suddenly doesn't work. It worked perfectly before. The key and the inside switch worked fine. I have gone through all the threads in the forum but I don't see a solution except take it to dealership. Anyone have any ideas what would it be? Like a loosen cord or broken antenna?

Since the trunk button is on the lid I'd suggest peeling back the rubber boot that passes from the body to the trunk lid and looking for frayed or broken wires.

If the wire is broken, would you know how much it would cost to get it fixed at a body shop?

the button assembly is actually fairly easy to replace, and is not too expensive. if you don't DIY, i guess it's an hour's work for your mechanic.

Is this a video or any instruction for the DIY? I searched on Youtube and didn't find anything.
