Carshield, Endurance warranties
Carshield, Endurance warranties
Just wondering if anyone has a opinions or experiences with car warranty contracts.
Either from the customer or from the mechanic’s or shop’s perspective. Good or bad ?
For a used car G37 with 128,000 miles 2010; I’m not very mechanically knowledgeable or
Able. Another consideration is that I’m maxed on my budget so can’t afford breakdown expenses.
Thanks for your opinions

Not sure, i usually stick with the manufacturers extended warranties, which isn’t helping answer your question.
Here is the Subaru warranty website which gives a nice list of things to look for in a warranty. if you scroll down towards the bottom of the page there are a few expandable menus that provide some good comparisons. Added Security Extended Coverage | Subaru This might help you ask the right questions.
Another thought is to look up reviews of the companies online, typically only negative experiences get posted, but if you sift through, you will find a few reviews from the mechanic or shop owners POV that may be helpful. Or, once you nail down a company or two (which it seems you have) you could ask around at some of your local shops to see what their experience is with customers who are using the warranties.

Endurance
I’ve canceled my Endurance membership. They covered very specific things that never really breaks if you simply just take of your car. In order to cancel you have to call them, print out a form, get that form notarized, and turn it in to them….just too much to cancel.
