Hey everyone, I have a 2013 g37 sedan journey that had the infamous sunroof drain leak which got the bcm wet. it cause the vehicle turn signal, wiper blades, alarm to randomly go off. I permanently fixed the issue and by running the sunroof drain hose to the ac drip line in the floorboard. I removed all the water and let the car dry for over a week and bcm was out drying out. ran fine for a few months and then recently alarm going off randomly. Then the radio would stay on and Bluetooth and kill the battery. did some searches to see how to resolve and decided most likely bcm is damage due to the water. I purchased a brand new bcm same part number from nissan dealership and had a lock smith come out to program. Well they were able to program one key fob and vehicle would start. I confirm the one key fob locks and unlocks the car but them notice when you go to start the dash states to push clutch in which this is an automatic. Did some searches and seems i need to set the correct type id to show automatic. Does anyone know of a scan tool that can do this or only the dealership ? any suggestion would help.
