Disconnect battery.
Disconnect and remove BCM.
Take BCM inside and make sure it is completely dry.
Make sure all of the connectors are clean and dry. A can of compressed air shot into each terminal will help.
When everything is clean and dry, plug everything back up, reconnect battery, and cross your fingers.

If you're lucky the BCM will return to normal. If not, it will have to be replaced.

First, the number you provided is NOT the part number (p/n). The p/n should read 284B1-xxxxx (the last 5-digits will be specific to your car). If you are getting a used BCM (from eBay, ie) then the DONOR car must match your car (sedan, Coupe, or 'Vert). It is NOT suggested you "mix-and-match" them.

Any replacement BCM will require reprogramming. That said, any qualified, reputable locksmith should be able to sync your keys to the "new" BCM. I would call around and see who provides the best service.

It goes without saying, repair the source of the leak prior to commencing repair on the BCM else the issue can/ will present itself again.

I'm having the same issue. My BCM is 284B1-1EJ5D, I bought a BCM that is 284B1-1EJ4C buts still from the same car. Would the dealer be able to program it?
