I want to buy a floor jack to raise from the front jacking center point without needing a second jack to raise it high enough to fit the floor jack from the font. Any recommendations or does everyone else use a second jack or ramps to get the jack underneath? My car is stock ride height.

 

I am a fan of the Harbor Freight 3 ton, long reach, low profile jack. It's inexpensive, works well, raises high, and for a few extra bucks you can get the extended warranty so if it ever has an issue you can replace it for free.

 

Is this the one for $239? I've been eying that one. It's a heavy mother....over 100lb.

The Daytona long reach low profile is 199. Yes its 103 lbs, but its got wheels. My buddy has a few of them at his shop and they don't "feel" heavy.

 

I had the pleasure of loading and unloading the one from costco by myself... it was a boat anchor.

 

They are heavy, but they have great reach. I love mine! Floor jacks should stay on the floor anyway!

 

Hmmm... Floor jack or sway bars.... Tough choice.

Cat 3tonne low profile jack from costco. Best part is, you can return it if it doesn't work out for you.

My car is lowered and it fits under my sideskirts. From the front bumper to the center jacking point i DO need to drive my car onto some 2x4s but my car is dropped/lowered a good bit.
