Low Profile Floor Jack
Anyone have any recommendations on a low profile floor jack? Looking at lowering my G37S here in the next couple of months so looking for a floor jack with a minimum saddle height of 3". I found this floor jack at Harbor Freight anyone currently using this jack seems like a pretty decent low profile jack for the price with at saddle height of 2-5/8"

I was *finally* able to get a hold of that HF jack. For some reason it was OOS at my local store for about 6 months!
I picked up the Arcan from Costco in the meanwhile, so I can compare both of them. The result is that the Arcan will be going back.
Build is very similar....rough welds, etc. But the HF jack is much longer to start with, and on top of that stays at the lower profile much longer than the Arcan jack as well. This means better chance to hit the magic service lift spot in the center of the front crossbeam on the G.
The higher max lift is nice too........I can use this jack for my Frontier too if I need to.

How about driving the tires up on a piece of scrap 2x4 or 2x6 lumber and then using a "normal" height jack to lift it?
2x lumber is 1.5" thick. Might be enough to get a non-low-profile jack to fit under the car.
Cheaper and easier than buying a whole new low-profile jack. Just my $0.02.

For very low cars you need a low profile jack in addition to rolling up onto boards. I have ramps made of 1x12 screwed on top of 2x12 lumber and I still need a low profile jack to slide under my front Top Secret bumper and be low enough to get the saddle under the front jack point. And I'm not lowered nearly as much as many of these guys.
