G37s Sedan Airbag Light

Evening all, the airbag light in my 2011 G is tripped, flashes on & off while the car is running. I was told this indicates a faulty passenger airbag occupancy sensor. However, my "Passenger airbag off" light isn't staying on, it turns on when starting the car, then turns off shortly after. Based on what I've seen, if the issue is a faulty occupancy sensor, the aforementioned light should be staying on. Is this accurate? I've already purchased an Airbag360 emulator to bypass the sensor, but am now concerned that the issue may be something else since the passenger airbag light doesn't remain on. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.
