Anyone have any luck getting an Infiniti dealership to fix TSB’s no charge? Car is out of warranty-2011 Coupe with 68000 miles. Service engine soon light on with code P0106 after scan. TSB from May 2012 instructs dealer to fix this problem with ECM reprogramming.

 

A TSB is not a recall. A TSB is just a notification for what to do if a car comes in with the issue, so getting a TSB done for free is not going to happen.

 

+1 for what stealthee said, however, a lot depends on the relationship you have with your dealer. Years ago I had a TSB applied for a known idle surging issue (ITB07-048b) and the dealership took care of it no charge and I was well beyond any warranty.

If you have are a good, known customer, they might work with you. But, for the most part, expect to pay for something.

 

How much will most dealers on average charge for this TSB repair?

 

If it’s a reprogram it will be at least 1hr, which usually means around $100 depending on the door rate.
