Decarbonizing Service

It sounds like carbon build up to me, and I suspect that it is something b/c carbon build-up normally impacts engines with direct injection. I understand that our G-37 have port injection, which is not prone to carbon build up.

Sounds scammy to me.

No clear that there is a problem, or what the dealer rep is trying to do
To keep fuel system and valves clean, I buy a case of Chevron Techron when on sale at Costco once a year. Then add a bottle every other tank full until I run out.
During that time, I use fuel with highest octane I can find and drive the car easy to avoid knocking.
Never had had any issues with any of our cars.

Update: Took it to different Infiniti Dealership and they charge $289 for both de-carbonizing and fuel injection service. The kit includes 3 different cleaners. Two cleaners they just pour and let run through the throttle body and etc. The third cleaner they pour into engine but extract with a machine. Hope this info helps.
