I installed a Tanabe Medallion axleback on my 08 g37 coupe a month ago and under acceleration I hear the exhaust hitting againt something metallic. After looking back there I found that it was hitting againt a metal shield on the passengers side. Even after bending the exhaust hanger the exhaust still hits it. Is it okay to remove the metal shield? Only the passenger side has this shield.
