Guys, everyone sees things differently, no need to jump all over the guy!

As long as he doesn't put a "I'm with Hillary" bumper sticker on his car.....

When I used to travel for work, I'd always go for the nissans because of the keyless entry/start. One less thing I didn't need to keep track of in order to open the trunk or get in/start the car.

Look at the newer cars, they even did away with the prndl lever!!! Not sure I can wrap my head around that yet.

My GTI had a fob that was constantly communicating with the car, which sucked because the fob battery wouldn't last more than 9 months, this type of constant communication is easier to spoof, and if I had my fob anywhere near the car, the car would boot up in anticipation of being started. You'd hear servos calibrating and the fuel pump priming, just from getting close to the car
another annoying thing was the door handle was touch sensitive, whereas the G37 has a button. When washing the GTI, the car would constantly unlock when a door handle was touched. It is uncomfortable to consider leaving the keys away from the car at a public carwash. So, while washing that car it would be making all these noises from booting-up to unlocking. Damn annoying.

So I like that the G37 doesn't do that, I also like that it has a standard key hole on the driver's door. Oddly, the key for the GTI was easier to get than the G37 key, but the GTI keyhole was under the door handle cover, and you'd need to pry the cover off with a key or pocket knife, risking paint scratches in the process.

The G37 is "just right" in my opinion.

I say "good riddance" to points and condenors. I couldn't get my '72 Olds Cutlass over 4500 rpm until I ditched the the points distributor and installed a GM electronic distributor. After that, I could float the valves!

I, too, feel annoyed at all the electric and electronic gizmos on cars these. I'm all for EFI, but DBW is unnecessary. I abhor the 7AT for its electronics. I wish someone would jail-break the TCU.

I do like the carburetors since those were fun to start up! Only bad thing was if you flooded it with too much gas or if you were bad with the choker. I noticed as cars got more advanced people lost pride in their vehicles as opposed to the old times. People now just turn on their car and speed away full throttle without letting the engine warm up and the oil set in. The worst was when I saw someone do that to their diesel truck. My generation sucks ***.

There is no need for the oil to "set in."

Or for the engine to warm up!
Just drive slow for a minute. No need any longer to waste gas or cause air pollution
