screeching at high rpm

i detached my mufflers like a month ago and tied it to the main pipe so it doesnt rattle. i started hearing squeaking sounds at 7k rpm that wasnt there before. i took it to infiniti and they test drove it and heard it and before he lifted it he said it sounds like a pulley maybe. then they took it in and lifted it up (i didnt care to reattach the muffler cuz i thought it wasnt a problem) and called me in and went off on me about how why i would do that and go to a professional place. then i asked how it can be the exhaust and he couldnt answer directly then he said how the air coming out will make it squeak. and i have a 3 month warranty so i knew they would find anything to not fix it. do u think the unhooked exhuast can cause the screeching?? btw i didnt get it fixed and just left but i wanted to know if it really is the detached mufflers

you gave the dealer a loophole not to fix your car due to your own actions. if you want them to fix the screech noise at 7k rpm under warranty then reattach your exhaust and prove that it is not something you did or abused.

I know i messed It up by not re attaching the exhaust I just want to know if that could possibly be the problem. It sound like it could be a really high pitched whistle but sounds more mechanical

You have an exhaust leak spray soap water on connections while running if you got access to a car lift else recheck all the connections
