New g37 owner here.

So it seems that there are two maintenance reminders for oil/filter change on this car: one that you can access through Info menu, another that you can access through instrument cluster display. They seem to be completely independent. Am I missing something here? What's the point of putting two reminders for the same thing on a car?

 

My oil nag goes away when resetting through the infocenter.

 

I get how to turn off the oil nag, thanks. What's puzzling is why they would build in two of those that act independently..

 

 

i don't use them. i've always just rest the B trip meter after an oil change and use that.

easier than flipping through menus.

 

I have wondered the same thing. My only assumption is so customers can have a choice where the nag is displayed? But why they are completely independent is anyone's guess.
