Digital Gauges / Meters

I saw a picture of the GTR's navi screen, and how the user can setup customized meters to monitor engine speed, boost, temperature, lateral G force, etc.

Is the G capable of doing anything like that ?

They supposedly hired some video game developers to design that GTR interface. (Was it the Xbox Forza guys?)

The G doesn't have any extra info for tuner-racers, but all of the interfaces in the car are very good.

We might eventually see some mod for the G37's display to be non standard. Probably some of that data is available to the G's computer, so maybe it could be exposed to the screen with just software changes.

Personally, I find everything I'm interested in easily configured for display, though I don't tune or race.

It was the Polyphony Digital, they develop Gran Turismo for Playstation.

Anything is possible. The problem is a lot of the gauges would not be aval. G's in a turn for instance. there is nothing in the car that rates G's....

are you sure? i was under the assumption that our G has accelerometers to hold the gear you're in while in a turn... this would allow "g" computation.

If you want to spend $700, you can get a screen that plugs into your ODBII to display a lot of information. I forgot the name of the company, but they were at SEMA.

You will just have to keep the car in park with the handbreak on to be able to see anything on the screen.
