K&N oil filter or AME dry filter

Hi guys. So I am thinking of buying the Stillen Generation 2 Long Tube Dual Intake Kit. They offer two types of filters. The K&N oil filter, or the AME dry filer. I've never used a dry filters before. I just replaced my oem filters with some K&N drop ins.

Stillen G2 and Long tubes don't match .. you probably meant G3 ?!
Second, i didn't know stillen offering a dry option ( AEM ) for their intakes now!

Anyways, if i was in ur shoes i wud pick the K&N's option for sake of performance !
from my humble experience .. I've noticed that Oil-ed filters do better than non-oils in terms of performance.

Given this car has MAF sensors your better off with dry filters. The oil from the K&N tend to screw with those sensors. Especially if you over oil them.

From what I've read, those with Takeda dry filters have had issues with the MAFs getting wet. With oiled filters, you're really only in danger if you over oil them. I've had my Gen3's on for 10k with no rain guard and have seen many snow/rain storms no problem.

I'd definitely recommend the Gen3's over the Gen2's, the 2's are basically a waste of money IMO.

Just installed my gen 3's. First of all, in case you read some peoples opinions on install its fairly straight forward and fairly easy even without removing the front bumper. But about what you're asking i think it's mainly about opinion. The one thing I will throw in is the fact that many people on here have installed the oiled k&n filters and have had no issues. Also a company like Stillen spends plenty of time and money on r&d. If the k&n oiled filters were part of their original design I'd say go with that as that's probably what works best. Most likely only included dry filter option for people who are convinced an oiled filter is a bad idea.
