trouble shooting passenger window

Passenger window doesn't go up or down. Was working fine and just stopped. Can't hear the motor trying to work and was hoping to find a way to test before I took the door panel off (how does it come off anyway?). I am used to being able to check voltages but this seems to work from the BCM so I'm not sure how that works. I can't operate from either switch and it doesn't automatically move when the door is opened or closed. I would like to get the switch panel off to test voltage there but it looks like I have to pry on the plastic and I don't want to mess that up unless it's a last resort.

Any ideas?
