Jacking from pinch welds

Does anyone have suggestions on how to use a 2-ton jack on the pinch weld jack points without bending them? Does anyone have any experience the hockey puck technique?

Never tried the hockey puck, but if your car is too low you can drive over some 2x4s to raise your car a little to get the jack underneath for the front jack point.

hockey puck methods works well...pretty strightforward- grab a hacksaw and cut a groove, if its too small cut some more, test fit on the pinch weld until it just fits...jam the puck onto the weld just enough that it hold it when you are ready to use it and want and then place the jack under the area where you are going to lift and start jacking(for me this is easier than lining it up with the puck on the jack and trying to get it to line up on the jack)

you can also probably cut a wider v type slot like the guy in the video but that doesn't look like a regular hockey puck (its comically large)

Why can’t you use the front crossmember?

An old rag folded up would work too. It’s what I use when I put my front end up on jack stands.

These work pretty good when you combine them w/ Legos shop-rag tip, fits snug enough not to stress that area, and won't tweak your pinch tabs
