Strange noise

My 2008 g37 started making this strange noise. Any idea what it could be?

Are you referring to the engine "chugging" noise? If so, it is probably the VVEL engine ticking noise. You can search this site for "engine noise" or "VVEL noise" and find a lot threads. I believe that some 08 and 09 models have this issue including mine. The dealership does an ECU reset and recommends Nissan ester oil. I've been using ester oil (over $12/quart) and the noise has on the most part has not returned. I used to hear it only when I start the car.
