Hood will not open

2012 Sedan

I just got home from test driving the newly installed Takeda CAI. I popped open the hood and noticed that the driver side popped up. The passenger side stayed locked. Any suggestions or tips to get the hood opened?

thanks

I believe you can access that mechanism through the passenger side wheel well to manually disengage it. Something likely got knocked loose when you were doing the CAI install.

Yes, you will have to go through the wheel well. If you want clear access, you may want to consider taking off the wheel and removing the liner.

Did you change out any bolts near the hood release? I hope you don't have to do what I had to do to disengage the passenger side lock. It was a pain.

UCLAG37 - I was praying for not having to go your route and my prayers were answered. Thank you both! I went through the wheel well and manually moved the latch over. It appears that the cable got knocked out when doing the install. I woke up at 4am thinking of how the heck am I going to get this fixed. My car is under warranty but the dealer would have probably charged me since they will see the intake.

Congrats g37socal! I'm sure you can now breathe a sigh of relief.
