Battery help!

Looking for a good battery replacement for my g.

I've been looking at red tops and just stumbled upon Braille. For those who have replaced your battery what did you replace it with????

I have no subs or any of that aftermarket audio but would like a quality replacement... Any thoughts and or recommendations ???

I like Diehard Platinum batteries and used that previously in my 05 6mt G35 Sedan.

I went with an exide 24fx from home depot. Will report in a few years if there's any issues with it. So far so good.

When I priced replacement batteries for my previous 06 G35 the dealer was about $20.00 higher so i had the dealer replace it.
Everything worked, they washed and vacuumed my vehicle, enjoyed the free snacks and watched TV while I waited.

That may be but a 24F also fits the tray. It's a beefier battery than the 35. At 2.5-3 years I'll test HD's return policy.

Pep boys had like 20% off and a mail in rebate for black Friday on Bosch, so I got a Bosch Platinum AGM 35.

Edited to add it looks like they have 20% off with coupon code ALLTIME20, and a $10 mail-in rebate on their site now.

Exide batteries aren't meant for cars that turn right.

Ditto. I have one in both the sedan and the coupe now. The sedan has had it for some time, I replaced the battery in my 08 coupe this weekend. It's been completely trouble free. The Global Extreme 24FX is stocked in many Home Depot locations as well as Tractor Supply Co. HD is $20 cheaper. It has a great warranty.

The OEM battery application for the G37 is size 35X and is rated at 585 CCA, 58Ah. The reason to use the size 24FX (OEM size for the M37 up to 2013) is because the case is approximately the same size and configuration, but the battery has 800 CCA, 70 Ah. That's a no-brainer to me.

i have the optima red top. got it on a promo sale online, can't remember the retailer. it's been ~2 years, so far so good. it's a battery, it does what it is supposed to do.

one improvement is that after long periods of my car sitting (1,2 weeks) it fires right up. the OE battery always drained down more and it was often touch-and-go if it would start after the same amount of time. even when only ~2 years old.

The OEM battery comes with something like a 5 year prorated warranty. I only paid $50 or something to replace when it died at 3 years old.

IIRC, Interstate supplies the OEM batteries to Nissan.

As much as I enjoy upgrading parts when they run out (and even when they don't), I don't see the argument for anything other than an OEM battery. As long as the specs are the same, and you're not influenced by things like weight and size, then it seems to me cost and reliability are the only relevant factors.

And since a battery doesn't cost much of anything... I'd get an OEM battery.

[edit]

...which I did, about a year after this post. FWIW, it's a real pain replacing the battery. Hardly rocket science, but damn annoying.
