Mild Mod Suggestions

Just picked up a 12 G37s Auto with 37k. Looking for some suggestions for proven mods and preventive maintenance items. Want to keep the luxury feel but give it some sporty character. This will be my DD. Thanx in advance.

Depending on miles, probably a good idea to change out all fluids.

Most of us put different sway bars to reduce body roll in aggressive cornering. Catback exhaust if you want more noise.

Probably time for tires too. Michelin pilot SS suggested.

You need to tell us what you're trying to achieve. Best suggestion is to drive the car for a few months, figure out what's working, what isn't, then mod accordingly.

My two previous cars were a fully build Camaro SS and Focus ST. The Camaro was a stereotypical muscle car build and the Focus ST was all handling. I like how comfortable the ride on the G37 is on the highway and will like to keep that. I wish it was just a tad bit louder on acceleration.

When I bought it 2 weeks back it still had the stock tires on it. I hit up tire rack and they recommended General GMAX AS-03. I purchase them and mounted them 5 days ago. So far so good.

All fluids are next on my to do list.

I love the way the exhaust sounds at startup. I like how quiet it is on the highway. Just wish it was louder when I accelerate.

For a little more noise grab a short ram intake, like the R2C. It will give you some nice growl upon acceleration. Its cheaper than a full catback, and unless you pop the hood everywhere you go, no one will know you have it. Definitely easy to install.

This is the beginning of a very slippery slope my friend.

best of luck

^^This X 1000 ^^
Don't think about lowering springs or coilovers if you want to retain the comfort, but when the time comes you might consider Koni Yellows to bolster the suspension.
Good luck keeping the mod bug at bay

It has already started. Pick up an led light kit from digital diode and a top speed axle back. Gonna see if the axel back gets me the sound increase I am looking for.

Good start, so I assume you have the coupe. The TS axle back in the coupe does have a nice deep tone and mellow when you want it to be, did you get the beveled tip version?

I actually saw a post you had on this exhaust and went your route with the beveled tip. Looking forward to installing it next weekend.

Stickazzz and GTR push start button!!! Lol jk
Thicker aftermarket sway bars and sticky tires are probably the best bang for buck and most noticeable mods you can do/feel. But yes be very careful don't let the mod bug bite you!
