battery periodically discharging

My 2011 G37 sedan battery will periodically discharge and not start, especially if not started for just a couple of days. The car will only start with a jump start by
battery cables or a jump started. It seems to charge very quickly and be OK, until the next time it discharges (seems random ) What might be the problem ?

Thanks,
Jay

Pick up a battery hydrometer at an auto supply store or Sears

Test the specific gravity of each cell.
If each cell does not come up to a full charge you probably have a weak and or a dead.cell.

Replace the battery
