FOB Problem

I own a 2009 G37x. Recently I have been having a problem with both fobs. They will not work, and if I open the door with the hidden key the alarm will sound until I place the fob in its slot and start the car. I have replaced battery's in both. They measure 3.1V and 3.0V. The car battery is a year old and in good shape.

I discovered that if I hold the fob close the windshield while outside of the car, low close to the dash it will work. Once I do this it will work at a long range for 5 to 20 minutes. After this time it doesn't work again unless I place the fob close to the windshield.

Any suggestions?
I am trying to avoid taking it to the dealer if possible.

Thanks

I think there was a TSB regarding the FOBs not working. Try calling the dealership for more info.

I'll call the dealer but I'm sure they'll say bring it in and we'll take a look at it.

This appears to be heat related. It acts up when it's hot inside the car but works fine once it cools off. It doesn't work in the heat of the day, I can drive it a distance with the A/C on and then it works. It will work when I get to my destination but after it sits in the sun for 15 minutes or so it stops working. It didn't work yesterday afternoon, being over 100 deg, but it works this morning, 76 deg.

I'm starting to suspect a bad connection either at an interface connector or circuit board solder joint.

Does anybody know where the circuitry within the dash is located?

Have you replaced the batteries in both Fobs?

Thanks
Yes, he stated in his original post that he changed the batteries.
