I picked up a small, slow leak in my a/c condenser today. I could hear a hiss after I parked the car in my garage. I thought it was a flat at first until I traced the sound to the front of the car. I don't see any fluid leaks or other really bad stuff. I've got an appointment scheduled for Wednesday morning. Is the car safe to drive?

 

If it's the AC condenser, it's perfectly safe to drive.

 

Thanks, BB. I'm 99% sure it is the condenser. The hiss is coming from somewhere behind the center of the grill. Don't know what happened, but considering my luck in daily life I'm not the least bit surprised.

 

I have the same sound too. Been happening for like 3 weeks. Still getting that cold air though. I think it's something else. I should've lost all the freon if it really was a leak by now.
