HVAC switching on its own

I manually turn my heater on. The mode is for the floor vents. After driving around, the mode switches on its own to the vents. I manually switch back to the floor vents.

Driving some more, the mode switches on its own to defrost, and the A/C comes on.

I did not use the Auto setting turning on the HVAC, and when toggling the mode back to the floor vents, I did not toggle the defrost setting.

Has anybody else experienced this? Is there some HVAC operational setting I am missing? TIA

In my G35 my heat/AC would turn on full blast and I would have to punch the stereo until it was able to turn off.

Haven't heard of this being much of a problem in the G37's though.

I hate how it switches to fresh air by itself when you have it set to recirculate. haven't figured out what prompts that. My Z did it all the time too.

Wow, I did not realize Infiniti ties their HVAC into the stereo.

I take it you pump the bass for more heat and crank the treble for more A/C.

Does the fade adjust the front/rear air flow and tweaking the balance accommodate the passenger?
