Went to two shops today, one quoted me $480. (G & G BodyWorks Inc Bakersfield ca) This shop was small, looked a little dilapidated, owner said that he would put on primer, 3 coats of paint, 3 coats of clear coat and a sealant. Second shop was massive Carriage Masters Inc Manager said they do close to 173 cars a month(not quite sure if that is true or not), anyways he quoted me $754!!! I was really hoping he would quote something like ~$500-600 because that would have been perfect, anyways he seemed a little more knowledgeable talked about mils when referring to the thickness of the paint(not sure if that's true), flex agent, and he is recommended by a friend, but this seems a little pricy no? Pics are included for your own damage assessment purposes xD

 

i say find another shop. $754 is way too much. My bumper got damage twice due to other drivers and i had to pay out of pocket. But i paid 350 for the repairs. I 'll look for pix right now.

 

not sure if you can see the cuts in the bumper. they were pretty deep. but i had to buy a new grill. but the bumper came out like new. Only charge me $350

 

Do you think this will rust within a month? My dad is wanting to take care of this when he comes back from vacation.
