Rattling from outside the car?

I've noticed a rattling sounds from outside the car when I drive with my driver side window down. It can really be heard when it's a bumpy road, and sometimes even smooth... is this normal? Sounds like some metal part is loose? Was considering taking the car to the dealership to get it checked out, but it happens about 60% of the time and I don't know if they'd be able to replicate it. Anyone else experience this?

Nobody can tell you what it is from just a description, even the Infiniti techs. It will have to be replicated for them in order to even try to find it. Any suspension mods done to the car?

Nothing, no mods (except a drop-in air filter + tint). Was just curious if anyone else has experienced this at all.

Try having someone drive past you slowly to see if you can hear or pinpoint it form outside the car. Longshot, but might help.

Just a random guess off the top of my head, the brake rotor shield could be it. I had a similar issue for a bit and even took it to the dealer but they couldn't replicate the issue. Though I knew that's what was causing the noise as I could replicate the exact sound through kicking the tire or slightly hitting the shield, but it ended up going away shortly after anyways.

I have a rattle that I hear when I am not on the gas (either in gear, or in neutral). I am guessing its just a heat shield in both our cases.
