Fuel Injection Service?

Is this really necessary? I looked through the service manual and couldn't find anything about it.

Waste of $$ in my opinion, but very good for the dealers bottom line. Just use a "top tier" gasoline and run a bottle of Techron in a tank of gas 2-3 times a year.

Top Tier Gasoline

Thanks for the input. It wasn't the dealership, rather the local oil change spot. They recommend it every 15,000 mi. I only fill both my cars with Shell, if possible.

The chances of fuel injectors getting clogged is about the same as getting hit by lightning. There are 4 filtering systems before fuel gets to the injetors. It's is mostly marketing/sales/maintenence hoax.

They make a ton of money off that service and it's mostly unneeded. HOWEVER....you should definitely change the filters stated in the above post. Getting crap in your filters is no bueño.
