I have been having a problem with my car and was wondering if anybody had any insight on what the problem may be and how much it would be to fix.


When I am driving the car feels as though it is going over bumps, even on freshly paved roads. It does not feel like a vibration, it feels like I am driving over bumps. Also, it doesn't seem to be taking turns as well as it used to. Upon braking, the car shakes vigorously.

at what speeds are you experiencing the problems?

for the shaking you get on braking, it is most likely due to warped rotors.

 

it could be warped rotors or the tires are unbalanced.

 

unbalanced tire, or possibly one with some damage, or maybe a bent rim. Rotors would have to be really bad for them to impact normal driving too. I'd check the tires first.

 

Yea, I don't think it is warped brake rotors, the bumpy ride happens at almost all speeds getting worse at higher speeds. I am probably going to try get my tires balanced and see if it works. Thanks guys.

really easy way to determin, if trhe steering wheel shakes while braking, front rotors warped, if while ur braking and feel it in the veh or bottom of seat rear rotors warped. vibration at higher speeds and no braking, prob wheel balance or bent rim. or if front rotors excessivley warped
