Car Shakes When Braking

Just had a question,

I've only had my car a year and I do not think the brake rotors are warped as everyone is probably going to say.

My car shakes when braking, the harder I brake the worse it is, especially coming down from high speeds. It seems to have been getting worse lately. I hit a huge pothole in the rain one night a few months ago, and it doesn't seem to be riding the same since then.

Anybody have any ideas on what it could be?? I was thinking (or hoping) just a bent wheel.

If it is a bent wheel, it would bounce while driving. Notice a rough ride when you push the car up to about 80? If not, it's not a bent wheel.

You could have alot of pad build up on the rotor that's causing uneven braking. Try re-bedding the brakes again. Get all that build up smoothed out and lay a nice new film down.

OP how do you know your rotors arent warped? The shaking while braking is a Known issue with the G's so I say get your brakes check out/your wheels to see if there are any bents.

i had a 2008 g37s (in service in april 2008). had vibration / juddering when braking. brought it into the dealership for annual service. they said mine was due an issue noted on an ITB (Infiniti Technical Bulletin). they gave me new brakes, pads, rotors, splash guard (factory warranty).

good luck.

Go on InfinitiHelp.com and search under TSB. It's decently common for our vehicle. It's not bad... just a bit annoying.
