Replace my IPL bumper?

I drove my IPL to a meet and some idiot reversed into my IPL...

I got all his information but i dont want to report it to the insurance because I don't want my vin to be tagged as a front end impact

Luckily I had the lis. plate in the front so it snaped my IPL lis. plate frame
and pushed in the bumper a little...

When I removed the lis. plate the dent popped back out but the bumper seems a little deformed with ripples in it If i place the lic plate stuff back on you wont be able to see the damage except for a little bend on the top of the frame under the grill

I asked the guy to pay and hes willing to pay but the IPL front bumper and my midnight Grill combo about 2,700 and he doesnt want to pay that much

What do you guys thing I should do?

report to insurance and get it fixed the right way. I don't think that would go into carfax for a minor accident like that.

do you know who I'd need to talk to, to see if they would report it?

if they do report it, why do you care about that?

And I doubt they would report it for such an insignificant accident.

If you file on insurance, it's likely going to be reported. It won't be reported as a front end collision though, it'll be minor front end damage/repair. Besides, if anyone asks about it, just tell them some idiot backed into you and scraped up the bumper cover so you had it replaced.

yeap, they won't report an insignificant accident like that. On my other car, I had my driver side keyed up at school. Filed for comprehensive claim, repainted driver's door, front fender, rear quarter panel. Nothing on carfax.

dude carfax is so hoax, a lot of times a car gets into a minor accident it doesnt even get on it. i've seen it before

You also get carfax reports that claim damage or wrecks that never happened. Carfax is just like Equifax. They screw up all the time.
